Job Profile:

Working alongside the CEO and the Executive Team, the FD will not only be an exceptional accountant but shall also be a strong and effective manager with highly effective team leadership skills. The role of the FD is to manage the finance team delivering both management expertise and financial knowledge and experience to guide and direct the team towards the Group’s goals and objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Form a close working relationship with the leadership team and provide expert knowledge for business growth, company’s Finance and Accounting strategy and optimising company’s financial performance and strategic position,
  • Contribute in the development of company strategy across all areas of the business, challenging assumptions, and decision-making as appropriate and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets, and business drivers.
  • Ensure company’s financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth.
  • Lead and manage finance team through challenging responsibilities including month end, year end and annual budgeting, audits (internal and external), preparation of financial plans for entities and departments.
  • Ensure corporate budgeting processes are carried out and reviewed on a quarterly basis.
  • Take full responsibility for company’s cash management policies.
  • Present quarterly consolidated financial reporting to the Board of Directors.
  • Ensure that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met.
  • Corporate Finance & Governance: manage company policies regarding capital requirements, debt, taxation, equity, as appropriate.
  • Establish a high level of credibility and manage strong working relationships with external parties including customers, suppliers, and advisors.

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Is a Team Builder and Team Leader who supports AVTEL’s purpose and values and is able to energise others to achieve combined objectives.
  • Qualified member of an accountancy body or holder of an equivalent qualification.
  • Has at least 10 years’ experience of managing a multinational team.
  • Meets the requirement for a commercially astute, articulate, technically strong, dynamic, insightful, and influential leader with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of working with an ERP in a multinational, multi-currency, multi-language and multi entity situation.
  • Exceptional communication skills at all levels.
  • Strong IT skills, always being ahead of new technologies.
  • Ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision-making.
  • High integrity and openness combined with commitment to good governance.
  • Energetic, highly motivated, with an enquiring mind and passion for excellence and innovation in pursuit of business growth and success.
